It’s been a while since we’ve posted an update. We just wanted to say hello and acknowledge everything happening right now. We hope you have all stayed safe during these crazy months.
At Ampere, we pride ourselves in making products that are compact and ideal for any situation, but especially for life on the road. That is because, like all of you, we love to explore. So please know that you are not alone if you are feeling sad and frustrated that you can’t travel during these unprecedented times.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, behind the scenes at Ampere we’ve asked ourselves — what can we do to make a positive impact? Our first order of business was to ensure the health and livelihoods of all our employees — everyone at Ampere is practising safe remote working and everyone, thankfully, has remained healthy. On top of that, our manufacturing partners and logistics providers are also working with the strictest hygiene standards while we continue to make and ship our products.
But beyond that, we know that we can do more.
We have teams on the ground in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong and we’re able to source and secure certified PPE equipment that is greatly needed for healthcare workers on the frontline in the US. After several weeks of vetting suppliers, we are ready to utilize our supply chain to help move medical equipment where it is needed most.
Last month, we launched a Choose What You Pay initiative of up to 30% off. A portion of all purchases made on Ampere.shop in April has gone towards purchasing much-needed PPE for our healthcare workers.

We are about to start shipping Unravel AW+ and wanted to give you a quick update on the progress from our factory floors as well as the shipping timeline for both models.
In August, we finished assembly of the next generation of Unravels in order to get them shipped by the end of August. Here’s a few behind the scenes photos and videos that I took on Saturday!
Before starting to ship these new Unravel AW+s, we tested them with the next Apple Watch 5, latest iPhones and OS. We are happy to confirm that these AW+s are indeed the perfect charger for Apple users and work great with the latest Apple products! We are packing all Unravel AW+ orders now and...

Meanwhile, four weeks ago, we finished the pilot run of the next generation of Unravels. Here’s a few behind the scenes photos and videos that I took from our factory when we SMTed the first 100 PCB boards:
The first 100 Unravel 3+1s have now been thoroughly tested and are ready to ship. We decided to take a little extra time testing them with the newest iPhones and iOS in light of some recent rumors that after the release of the new iOS 13 some wireless chargers are not able to charge an iPhone at full speed. We can confirm that Unravel is able to charge the newest iPhone in a little more than three hours (both Unravel 3+1 and Unravel AW+). That’s faster than any other wireless charger on the market that we’ve tested!
Not an Apple user? Don’t worry, Unravel can also charge Samsung Galaxy and other popular smartphones faster than any 10W wireless charger we’ve tested too.
In short, we remain confident that Unravel 3+1 is the best multi-device wireless charger on the market and we are proceeding full steam ahead with assembling and shipping!
